The sixth edition of Tobacco Use in Canada: Patterns and Trends, released in May 2015, includes a special supplement on the topic of e-cigarettes. This fireside chat will focus on the issue of e-cigarette use in Canada, including the state of current research, as well as an in-depth look at the first national survey data to examine use among Canadians (from the Canadian Tobacco, Alcohol, and Drugs Survey). Federal- and provincial-level policies around e-cigarettes will also be discussed.

In addition, we will give a brief overview of the main report, which synthesizes the most recent data available on tobacco use from national surveys conducted by Health Canada and Statistics Canada, as well as an updated policy supplement.

Who should attend:
If you are involved or interested in tobacco control in the areas of policy, programs, advocacy, research or evaluation, this fireside chat is for you!
